The two bolts that go up through the belly pan into the rear transmission mount.

How long are they?

How big in diameter do you supose?

I seem to hit nothing when I stick something up there. What the heck?
 
I can not remember, but if I was going to guess...and I am... I'd say they are 3/8 about 4.5 inches long with a tapered end (which is important for easy of installation).

They are 3/8" - 24 fine thread, I think 4" long. I can pull one if you need a definite length. I wish I knew you needed this earlier since I just swapped engines yesterday. There is enough play in the mounts that you may need to loosen the tunnel bolts and pry the engine and transmission fore and aft to get them to line up.

Edit - I just looked at one of the cars and they are 3" long.
 
Ahh, cool 3" by 3/8 fine.

Will go look through my mess and see where they got to.

I push a common Phillips screwdriver through the holes before I even try the bolts, lines them up pretty well.

I have a bit of clutch judder and thought maybe this would solve it. However, I have been told by several folks that the guys that race do not install these bolts. Shrug.
 
3/8 to big, 1/4 too big, 3/16 to small.

3" seems to be the correct length though. Nothing in my stash with tapered ends?

Nuts are centered as the 3/16 will go up in and is centered in the body hole, is wrong thread as is corse but it grabs just a bit.

Maybe it is some strange bolt size but I surely don't have anything that long or longer that will work. Actually the side bolts should be enough along with good front engine mounts.

Darn if I know what is going on. Guess I will live without those bolts.
 
I'm guessing the 3/8 is correct, but they are not lining up. These bolts are aggravating. (I think this is why people leave them out) I do not know if the tapered ones are correct, but I have a set and they make installation easier.
