It seems I can get localy 1/4 inch steel line designed for hyd lines but the longest I can get is 51 inchs and it seems a peice about 70 inchs is required.

What are you folks useing this stuff and spliceing it or copper which does not seem appropiate?

If you have found this what auto parts caries it, seems like what I see is finished with ends rather than like 6 or 8 foot sticks.

Buy the 1/4 " line at the parts house. It should have male double inverted flare fittings..I think that is what they are called.. on each end. If you find a parts guy who is good...good luck... He can also sell ya an inverted flare union that will connect two pieces together. Do not tell him it is for a sprite or he will try an sell ya one with metric fittings. Put the two pieces together and cut to fit. The fitting at the tank is kinda wierd. I think it is a BSP thread. Most of the cars I see have the tube coming out of the tank to a hose going over the axle then back to the steel tubing. Some folks put the electric fuel pump there too. If you are not using the stock fuel pump buy a pump from O'Reilly Auto Parts for a 1980 MGB( it will be on their computer even a goof can find it) It is a genetic flow through turbine type pump(not a clickity clickity piece of crap). They work great and don't need a pressure regulator.

Hay Jolly, long time. Did you see the latest pics. Thanks for the info, is just what I needed.

I do have two peices of tank end tube about a foot or so long with fittine. Will use the one that seems to fit best.

The little car had all the brake lines on it so no real prob with them. However, anyone have an idea on cleaning the insides??

Thanks guy.

1/4" copper ice maker line comes in 10' lengths.
For the mechanical fuel pump fittings, a 8" brake pipe from any auto parts store cut in 1/2 and attached to the ice maker line with small rubber hoses works fine. I do forget what size the brake pipe was but just bring in a fuel pump fitting to match it up and avoid the kid who works behind the counter that can only help if he can punch your make, model , and year into a computer.
I just tried to by "universal" lap belts and all 4 auto stores in town could not help because my car was not listed.
