Question for Our Carb Gurus

Ok - the basic Z-S carb is a 175 CD-2. Does the "2" mean 2" Hg of Constant Depression across the piston? Also, there are 3 springs listed in the Haynes card manual - "light, medium, & heavy" designated by neutral, blue, & red markings at one end. Any idea how each changes the depression? I would imagine the "heavy" spring increases the depression by limiting the valve opening, but how much. Just a Monday curiosity...
