My differential drain plug leaks just a little bit. Do I use something like teflon tape on the threads to stop this?

A little teflon tape will do the trick

NO!!!! IT'S SUPPOSED TO LEAK !!!! How will you know where to park your car if there is no oil spots on the ground ?!?!?!?!?!?!

Teflon tape will do it.

Clean the plug and threads off well, apply the tape to the plug threads.

Worked like a charm on mine. :yesnod:

I'll have plenty of other places to have leaks from. :smile:

Thanks all for the tips. Teflon tape it is.
 
BTW. that plug is a 7/16 square drive. I ground down two sides of a old 1/2 drive extension to make one.....
