Did you know that the brake pedals have brass inserts where they swing on the bolt at the master cylinder box. No that is not the question but when was the last time you put a drop of oil there, it does not seem to be in the factory maintenance book, gesh.

Now for the reall question. One of the pedals has a stop welded to it about an inch or so long, is this clutch or brake or have you noticed??

Jack, the clutch and brake peddles are bushed with an oil impregnated bronze bushing and so it doesn’t need servicing.

The clutch peddle is the one with the stop on it.

Thanks, appreciate.

The peddles don't necessarily need "regular" service but they can and do rust/bind up and need to have lube on them occasionally (like once every 10 years or so)
i put grease on the bolt and it seems to last a long time (like 5 years so far)

I just rebushed my pedals with a new microfinish bushing insert and a highly polished bolt. Took out my pedal slop. Have not installed. This did require drilling pedals out by 1/16" to out the new 1/2" ID bushing in place. Works fine and pedal feels great. There was an article on MG.exp Mudget Firum a few months vack as a how to.
