TR6 Question about TR6 top velcro attaching...

Got my new top seals from TRF. THey look good, but my question is about the velcro...

What kind of glue (if any) should I use?

I appears that the lower "flap" will end up under the channel for the window seal.

I'm assuming that I should use weatherstrip adhesive or something to keep it there and to attach the top "flap" to the inside of the frame (after folding it over...)

On the right track?

Completley out to lunch.

Do I need 3M icky-pucky #78 or something special?

Working alone 6P to 6A today and tomorrow, so I'll have lots of time to work on it!

Thanks in advance!

You will want an adhesive that will hold them tightly to the metal frame, which means that all of the old crap needs to be removed and cleaned perfectly.

You must also give it the proper setup time, because you need to be able to stretch the top over on to the velcro and have it hold when it's cold.

Contact Velcro Directly!!! No point in ruining any of the components
They are incredibly helpfull and willing to answer (my stupid) questions

I ended up using 3M weatherstrip adhesive.

Worked 2 back to back 18s with 1 hour off between.

Plenty of time to set.

Worked good!

Now, off to bed.
