Question about oversized throttle shafts

Put a darn ball point pen spring on the screw like it is supose to have. It will not turn unless you turn it.

Hey there - Well, there is a spring, but I'm thinking it's outlived its useful life (or is simply not the right spring for the job - seems a little short to me). I'm installing a new spring this weekend per your recommendation. If that doesn't do it, I'm using one of the various lock-tite ideas that have been shared!
