Question about distributor compatability

The distributor on my 59 BE has no vacuum advance and is marked DM2. It is pretty beat up, so I located a replacment off of ebay that was supposed to fit Bugeyes, but is labelled 25D. This appears to be what the 1098 and some of the later 1275's used.

Any problems with using it my 948? It seems to fit perfectly.

Thanks!

Mike

I would suspect that the advance curve is wrong for a 948.

Some minor exterior differences but it's the same dizzy.
Every D25 has the advance stamped on the weights inside.
All are within 3 or 4 degrees except some from Triumphs, they are stamped in the 20s where Sprites are in the teens.
It will work fine, you just have to fine tune the timing.
