Question about a bolt.

Good Day,

I am away from Caroline (my 87 XJ6) so I can't get the bolt/thread size for the alternator tensioning bolt. I know that I use a 9/16" wrench to turn it, but I need to get a new nut from the ol' hardware store and I don't know what size to get.

Anybody know this off the top of your head?

Oh Sure those kinda things roll off the top of my head all the time and I can't find em. However, on you way home stop at the ol hardware store If you have a 9/16" spanner with iou take it inside with you. If Not get one in the store . Then go to the National Fine nut and bolt section and find a bolt with a head that matches the wrench. Now find a nut to fit the bolt. If you used a store wrench put it back, go pay the cashier for the nut and bolt and go home. If this does not work! Please keep it to you self.--Keoke-
