He's off on some sorta "Holiday"... somefin' about an anniversary or somesuch nonsense.

right. He's been kidnapped by his wife.
 
I think that is what the pretty little "fisher person" was gonna do. She was instructed to go in the garage a couple of times a day and glare at "HWSFNOBN" or what ever it was called
 
Sometimes I think that his old nemesis sneaks back in there when he's gone and tweaks that monster a bit, just to get Dale all torqued off.
 
You know, I can actually imagine him doing that. He's made a clay impression of his garage key. Sneaks in late at night fug uglies up the car the whole time cackling under his breath.
