Alright, some good news after a rather crappy previous month... Our local paper has a special magazine on Friday that's called Swerve... For a few years I've been out photographing people wearing Remembrance Day poppies, I pitched the story idea to Swerve a couple of months ago and never heard back until two weeks ago, when they informed they wanted to use the images on their back page as a photo collage plus a brief write up, of course it's a paying gig... And a magazine I've wanted into for a long time, now at least I actually exist...

Here's the link - https://www.calgaryherald.com/swerve/our-town/Remember+Across+Calgary/9134601/story.html

And I just missed out on a radio interview this afternoon, they tried contacting me while I was at work today, I'm pretty much off line all day where I work, oh well...

Hey - congratulations! You've deserved more recognition for a long time. Looks like the ice that's surrounded you is beginning to break.

Well done.
Tom

All the personalities you've captured in those photos are great, they deserve to be published. And you've got an addition to your British car fund!

I didn't know your f ather was in WWII, I always thought you were in your 20's.

VERY COOL !! Congratulations.

Thanks everyone...

Billy... I'm 41, but... My dad was 50 when I was born... He was Russian army in WW2, captured by the Germans, by a miracle survived the POW camp and ended up in Austria after the war, then came to Canada in 1948... Was then a bachelor for many years until he met my mom in 1961... They went on to have four of us kids...

Congratulations James. On a side note I had no idea you were Russian.

Congrats, James!!!
