Ok - On but off topic. I have to put the shackles on the rear of the roady. How the he!! so you get them in? I took the crappy ones out by banging them. Is it just keep pushing and wiggling?
Superflex Poly bushings are the only bushings I use. They are machined rather than molded so the fit is very precise. They come with stainless steel sleeves and each bushings is a specific shore rating depending on where it is located in the car. Other kits give you one hardness for every application.
Those are they. The bummer is that not only are they expensive like all poly bushings, we also suffer a bad exchange rate and shipping from UK to US is horrendous. I ordered everything I'd ever need all at once to save shipping. You might try calling Superflex directly to get a shipping quote. I seem to remember they were cheaper overall. I use Skype and call for 2 cents per minute.
I upgraded all my rotting bushings about 5-6 years ago with the Energy Suspension polyurethane bushing all around front & rear. I got mine at Victoria British.
Price wasn't that bad either I think at the time I paid out like about a little over $100 for everything. They really complimented all the other suspension upgrades I did.
That's why I was wondering about the Prothane. Moss makes it easy by selling 2 full kits - 1 front & 1 rear which looks like it will do the entire car. The other types listed don't
Other than the Stainless, what makes the superflex different from the Prothane?
You can buy Superflex individually. The differences in them are listed above. Machined instead of molded, custom hardness for each location on the car and stainless sleeves included. Prothane are fine and I'm sure you would be happy with them. Superflex are better if you're willing to spend the cash.
