Propshaft length - Toyota 5 speed conversion

I am looking for the prop shaft length, for a 3000 with a Toyota 5 speed conversion. I have the Toyota gearbox fitting and my original props haft and need to combine the 2 for the re-build.

I was going to do that but the driveshaft shop said it was easier just to make a new shaft from scratch.

Notes I made in the Smitty manual at the time:

Note: the 20-3/16" includes the 3/4" deduction for clearance when the yoke slides in and out.

Caveat added: it would be better to mount your tranny then measure the distance between the axle flange and rear of the trans then have the shop compensate for that. Smitty's instructions said to allow 3/4" for yoke movement.

Steve, I think you are right. I'll get a new one made up once every-thing else is installed so that I can get as fitted sizes.
