I like it. And I can mount the recorder in the laundry room, which is just a few feet from the camera. Need to fish a new receptacle, but that's no probs.

Also... not to be daft, but how does one connect this? I have a spare CD/DVD combo player and an old 13" Trinitron TV. Can I connect the camera to the player just like a video camera? pressing record every night is going to get old... any ideas for a loop, or a super long recorder?

/bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/iagree.gif He's got 10 available..I want 2! Can hook them up to the TV/VCR in the GarageMahal operations center!

Only 65' of video cable though...what if I need to add more, will it affect the quality of the pictures?

Two cameras out front and one in back here.

if you need to hook more than one up you will need a switcher (mine is pelco),rg59 cable and the appropiate connectors. Check circuit city for cable and connectors.

Decide where you want the cameras then measure the distance from the cameras to the vcr/tv and that will be the amount of cable you need. you will also need a switcher(on top of the combo in the picture). Remember also that each camera has to have a power source as they come with an adapter. I believe you can get RG59 cable with a power cable siamesed to it so you can have the adapter in the house. Mine are in the house but i had to run a plug closer to the wall to accomodate the one at the rear of the house, you will also need the connectors for the cable.

I put it in after one of my son's cars was broken into one night and the distributor cap and one lead were taken (mk2 vw golf), funny thing is my neighbours(biker gang) at the time had an audi with the same motor and it had the hood up for about 4 days and the next day it was running again, strange eh!
