Proper idling RPM

Linkage is totally clean. I just changed heads and cleaned everything up at the same time. It was the first place I looked. I think Doc has the answer and as soon as I get two days of not needing the GT I'm tearing her down.

TWO DAYS!?!? It should take you less than two HOURS./ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif

The li'l hair springs get weak, the ~stupid~ things refuse to seat well... They were a concession to the design, for residual fuel burn, inna first place. Seal 'em shut. All across the planet. Throttle blades should be like trap doors.

Hateful compromise. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/cheers.gif

:agree:

and in states where they treadmill the car for emissions testing the little valve on the big valve never even comes into play, other than serving to obstruct the flow of fuel air entering into the combustion chamber... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nonod.gif I reckon the "ideal" fix for this would be to replace the butter fly with on that doesn't have the spring loaded valve on it, but soldering it shut is more than enough for 90% of the cars on the road.
