I'm finally making a little progress on the Iris Blue BE.

Still lots to do but it's progress all the same.

dem shocks are wrong, ahhem. But dosn't it look great.

I've always liked Iris Blue...someday want an MGB that color.

very first car I ever truly fell in love with was a bugeye - iris blue. Magnificant! thanks

The paint really turned out nice for single stage. Funny story on the color. I had originally planned on the same scheme as Jack but my son, 4 years old at the time, insisted that I paint the car blue. Of course I wanted it to be an original color so Iris Blue it was.

He's helped me a lot with the car from disassembly to laying in the rear or the car for an hour or so feeding wires and attaching the plinth. I can't wait to get it on the road. He's sure to enjoy it even more than our midget /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/laugh.gif

I can't decide what color to paint my Bugeye. It does not have to be an original color, but I want something from that era. I'll need to consider Iris... even though I've always liked the color, I've never really wanted a light blue car for myself.

Pictures really don't do the color justice, it's a very clean look. Another good thing about it for me was that you don't see a lot of other cars the same color. I didn't go with the original color interior though (shh, don't tell Jack), I went with all black, no white piping either.

Should look nice when I get it all installed.

You are right, there are not too many iris blue sprites... and I like the look (esp with a white hardtop). However, I just can't picture myself driving one.

Color is always a picky thing. I am fond of iris blue, though I don't think I'll change Tunebug to that anytime soon. I do think sticking with period colors tends to work best. Personally, I'm fond of BRG and OEW. I also do like stripes for the more sporty look.

In general, what colors do you like?
