Today

Sent carb bodys off to Joe for new bushings, throttle rods, and butterflies. New gasket sets as well.

Aligned front end.

Pulled and replaced exhaust system, I was just not happy with the way it was fitted.

Ha, note that tac is now stuck on about 800 RPM so will have to change out, good thing I have another that seems fine. Chances that two are bad is remote I should think.

Never had much luck with doing alignments myself. Mind sharing your process?

Oh, easy enough. Bugeye is supose to be dead on plus or minus 1/8th.

Jack up front of car, useing tailors chalk spin wheel and put a mark all the way around each wheel.

Put car back on floor, now measure the distance between the chalk lines, roll car forward half a wheel and measure again.

Adjust and do it again and again till both measurements are the same, close enough.

Move on nothing to see here, hehe.

I like it. It must be right. I use one of those cheap toe in deals. Works good for me.
