That's a hole days work and it isn't finished. I note that the stearing shaft needs to come back a bit so I can get a nut on the wheel. Also left is the oil pres, temp gage and the Choke. Also need to cover the front cockpit surround and install it.

Let me tell you about the choke, got one from Moss it was 6 feet long and much larger than the correct item, reordering from VB so that will be a bit. Durn Quality control that isn't.

Nice to have things to do again.

Pretty, Jack, pretty....

Very, very nice my friend!

Black interior, hehehe

Spiffing!
Very impressive.

Patrick, what's wrong with a black interior (other than the scorch marks from hot black vinyl in the sun). Tunebug's still got his original black interior.

Ms Agatha has a red interior, also an original combo. You've got me confused (of course, it's late here)... /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

Maybe I am wrong, but I thought white cars came only with black interiors. I like the white red combo, if that is an original pairing, great!

Red, black (and maybe dk. blue) were THE choices! If you see a tan one, that would not be, but they look nice! /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/grin.gif

I thought red came with red cars; blue with blue and black with white.

Patrick

Sorry I do not have the definitive answer on that! I have seen quite a few white cars withred interiors though and red cars with black interiors are common too!

White cars were the only ones that had a choice of interiors from the factory--black or red. I can't remember the years, but I think both interiors were available for most years of Bugeye production. The other colors all had a single matching interior color.

Black seats with white piping became an alternative to red for OEW cars after AN5 9605 January 1959.

Yep on the white cars with red interior. My '59 was white with red interior. Confirmed with the factory markings on back of the dash panel and the bulkhead behind the passenger seat.

Great, Thanks guys, I learned something BE today.

Nice color combination.

I also forgot the green with green interior, a true Frog Eye hehehe

Patrick

Now Pat, you didn't think I would screw up the colors did you, LOL.

My orginial 1960 in 63 was white with red.

J-Dog,

She's gorgeous!! Will you be giving her away when some fine young studly Spriget seeks her hand in marriage?? /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/wink.gif
