Gear box now shifts, stiff as sin though as it has never efen been run in I think.

Oh, also scoped out that gear box is supose to be painted same as the engine so I been working on getting ready for that. Tomorrow is paint gearbox day.

Matthew....I thought *exactly* the same thing. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/wink.gif

Jack.....Are Frog-boxes even painted? I didn't think so, but I'm no expert on this type of thing.

The Brown Truck finally came to my house today with my back-ordered thrust washers (17 days left before I head off to the races). So I'm making Progress too. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/thumbsup.gif

Yep, Bug boxes are acording to the book painted same as the engine. My orginial bug was painted as well and I know it was never out of the car till I did it. Anyway alum will corode, white powder stuff if not protected in some way or cleaned and washed from time to time. No way to do that in the tunnel of course. The alum. diff, is also painted, black. Other engine alum stuff is unpainted.
