Its coming along now. I have been enjoying myslef the last couple of days. The dash is not completely in yet. Gonna leave it loose until I get all my electrilc checks done.

Kim, that actually looks like a car now -- that's got to feel good after all the work you've been putting in.

I like your dash treatment -- I've never been a big fan of the padded dash, and the wood grain sets off the instrument area nicely.

Its not really wood its a formica type tabletop laminate that I cut out to use. It was very hard to saw and stunk really bad when cutting it, but its tough and should hold up well.

The laminate will hold up well -- I figured it was something along those lines. Really sharpens up the dash, though. Nice choice, and nice work.
 
RE: Your question on the other thread, can't you use the plastic piece to locate where the holes need to go?

Great progress!!! I knew when we were talking way-back-when that the dash was going to look great /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/thumbsup.gif !!! I did the same with an old Fiat Coupe I had and it lasted way after the rest of the car went to rust!!!(a chronic Fiat prob. /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/crazyeyes.gif !!!!)
