Heck of a lot further than I am

Ahhhhh, arn't the alum suporting mounts on the stearing rack supose to be unpainted and the shock absorber arms black?

One more thing, think the starter switch is supose to be side to side rather than up and down.

Pickie pickie. Heh

Jack

Thanks for the input Jack

I have to paint the rack and column black, brackets stripped, on my to do list.

The shocks were factory reconditioned years ago and that was the color they came in, like a gold seal thing I guess, debating if to paint em or not.

Starter switch I am unsure about.

Just want to tie up a more things and then put the engine back together. I appreciate the input it is great to get your opinion.

Well you know PeterC paints the shock housings even, sigh. We've got to talk to him about that.

Boy I have looked at your pic again several times. Wish I was that far along.

I think the starter switch on Tunebug is up and down...

Just got back from Moss Motors Britfest in NJ, and all BE were up and down.

All cars also had there front shocks all painted black

I'll be darned, up and down. All mine were wrong then. Sigh

However I do know my orginal Bug did not have painted shocks. Thats a fact.

Anyone have a concourse judgeing printout that can see what it says?

Jack, to the best of my knowledge you are right about the shocks, bare and arm painted black.

Thanks GB1, it's nice to be right some of the time, heh.

So thats what it's supposed to really look like. Really nice. Two ?s. How did you come to oil cooler location (I like it) and is that a stock double slave for the brakes and clutch.

really nice.

Thanks.

Oil Cooler location was based on where it would fit most easily and un-obtrusively.

The Masters are out of a later Spridget, but the wiper motor had to moved a little bit to accept it.
