Well...It's been months since it's been nice enough to get anything done on the TR...But this weekend I made alot of progress; got the new seats installed, re-installed my newly painted trunk lid, re-stalled all mirrors, took it for a drive, then got it up on stands for more work(and so I can bring the rims in for new tires).....The amount of work this car needs is a little overwhelming....but I am glad some progress has been made, and that it's at least driving prefectly.
 
I guess that your camera was broken during the cold weather?
 
hehehehe.....Well it doesn't look much different from when I got it, cept the trunk lid now has paint on it, and the seats arn't trashed. I'll get some Before and After pics once I am done everything
 
BTW Paul, I know u've done this recently so; I've gotta remove the front bumper this week, where are the bolts, and how many?....and can the parking lights be disconnected easily or should I just cut the wires?(later stlye parking lights)
 
The front bumper come off in seconds by unbolting the two bolts behind the bumper where the bumber irons are held to the front valance and the bumper irons under the valance to the frame. Then there are 2 bolts that you remove for the top supports for the bumperettes. After that, lift the hood and unplug all 8 connections for the light wires. DON'T CUT ANY WIRES !!! Now you can unscrew the 8 tiny screws that hold the grille to the valance and pull the grille forward and lift it off over the step at the top of the bumperette supports. You can drag out all the wires with the grille.

Now you can work in the grille and the lights.

Why don't you get down on your hands and knees and and look underneath to see what has to be done ? It's so simple.

What I don't understand is why do you feel you need to do all this ?
 
I saw the two big bolts you mentioned....but I figured there was more. I've already got the grill out so I can just disconnect the wires in there.
Few reasons: Firstly someone had a foglight mounted on the bumper....and somehow they managed to create a slight bend in the bumper where it was mounted that I am gunna have to straighten. Secondly theres a few stone chips under the grill that have started to rust because this car sat outside for years that have to be dealt with.
