I've sent a couple of PMs in response to one of the posts on The Pub. Neither shows in my PM sent folder (and I haven't had a response). Any way I can tell is my messages are getting through?

Marv - some guys don't know there's a PM system. You may have to post a "public" thread in the forum(s) the guy uses.

If his profile shows "send email", you can also try that.

PS - you won't see a copy of your message in the Sent folder, unless you've set your PM profile to do that.

When you send a new message, do you see a checkmark in the "Save a copy of this message in your Sent folder" under the message?

 
Yes, you have to configure your profile to save "SENT" PMs.
 
Of course, if you haven't got a reply to a message a car that hasn't yet been listed publically, the person you sent the message to might be totally swamped with other PMs!
 
Please send me a PM. It could be that the person you are PM-ing has his inbox full and can;'t accept more PMs. Try sending me one with the user name of person you are trying to PM.
