Primer Color under Spa White

I've almost got everything removed from the engine compartment on my '65 TR4a, so I'm beginning to think about paint. I've just about decided to paint the car Spa White, even though she was originally green. So, does anyone know what color primer was originally used with Spa White? I know it may seem an impertinent question, but I think the color of the primer makes a subtle difference in the end result. Thanks. -Glenn.

Weren't many of the panels primer red from the factory?

grey primer will be ok, your paint guy can recommend a primer too and many can tint the primer toward the color you are using
