Price of gas

Greed pure and simply.
The Big Gas Barons know we will pay almost
any price they set.

It is really sad to see so many small busineses
going bankrupt directly because of fuel/electric
prices.

Thousands of older folks hanging out in regional malls
because they cannot afford the electric to run their
own AC at home. They purchase very little at malls other
than cups of coffee.

Living here on island, the cost of EVERYTHING we purchase
has gone thru the roof due to high fuel costs for shipping
or cargo plane.

My instincts say things will change in November, some time after the 12th. That's all I am going to say on that. <still praying for the Texans>

Well, here in Canada we had an overnight hike of about 11 cents/liter to $1.40/liter, which is quite sizeable... And apparently at least one analyst on the news predicted it might yet rise to $1.50/liter

I know that even over the summer with our relatively higher gas prices, I have had to cut back on any potential out-of-town trips, which is rather frustrating for me.

Now I do truly sympathize with the folks down in Texas, but I don't quite believe the stated reasons for why the spike in gas prices (considering the drop in oil price over the last few months), especially since Canada is a different market than the United States.

*sigh* Belt tightening time yet again...

I've got so many things to try to save up for, and it's getting so much harder to do it...

Last night I went out to eat at a local restaurant.

GIANT SUVs everywhere...

Very hard to park because they were so close together.

I really don't understand.

Gas had been going down but in the AM it was $3.57 and later that day, while retuning from work I noticed it was $3.69, I have not been out since to see what it's like now.

Dang! I got to put $3.69/gal gas in my car ONCE and then it spiked again...oh well, maybe it'll go down again before it jumps with the next hurricane!!

I just popped out for a bit and it's up to $3.83 already. But, I cannot do a thing about it.

Glad my Spit just sips the stuff.... Just got the Minators on it this morning with the newKumo tires, looks nice. Also replaced the hoses, clamps, oil and filter. Good to go....

But Dale, what about Tres Gatos? How much has she consumed?

Gas was up 33 cents and is now down 14. What are they trying to do?

It's been $3.99 here in Champaign for several daze.

$4.39 this morning in north Alabama - $3.86 in Mississippi - $4.19 right across the Alabama line...somebody in Alabama is ripping us off!
