OH MY GOD!!!! The price of gas has jumped .50 a gallon in the past 12 hours and is expected to go another .50 tommorow IF you can find it. They are limiting you to 10 gallons per purchase. It's a mad house around here. :wall:

Up 12 cents, no limits here. $3.69.

Regular octane $4.07 to $4.22 a gallon here,
no limitation on amounts.

Diesel is below $5.00 a gallon now.

Up 50-cents here & all the stations are out of regular & mid-range...

I'm coming near Tupelo Tuesday....

I have heard that there may be a 10 to 15 day wait for gas to arrive. No one seems to know. A lot has to do with how much damage Ike does. :cryin:

Tony,
Bring your own gas. We don't have any either.

Just talked to my cousin - in Ackerman gas is $5.00 a gallon!!

$3.45 last night and I didn't stop....today $3.95....and I'm on E! I hope there's gas on Monday to go back to work. In the meantime, looks like rain, wind and storms this weekend so I'm thinking football and the couch!

You know, thats just highway robbery. I never have understood how they get away with charging someone one price and then charge someone else a few miles away a lot more. I understand the concept of supply and demand and "What the market will bear" pricing, but what they are doing here they should at least kiss you first. :madder:

I just saw a report on CNN. They were saying that somewhere in TN some station is posting $11 a gallon, with other areas asking $5 and $7 a gallon. I guess I am lucky, I just filled up at $3.69 a gallon in the old Cougar.

There's a station just outside of Orlando Intl' Airport that has had $5 "regular" gas for quite a long time. It's the price they set for the product, and people buy it.

Along those lines - we have two fuel sellers at the airport. You have to taxi past one fuel pump to get to the other. There's a $1.00 difference in price, yet people taxi past the first place constantly. Go figure.

And the price of crude is hovering around $100/barrel, down from the $15O mark reached this summer and yet the pump prices are fluctuating THAT much?? Even with the weather issues, something is just plain wrong.

Pulled into a station last night in Mt. Vernon, SC and the price was $4.29 for regular.

It's a wholesale market increase, not an increase from the oil companies, I heard.

It IS highway robbery! :nonod:

Governor of Alabama just declared an energy emergency which caps gas prices at $5.00 per gallon.

Still $3.79 for premium in Colorado as of this morning. The local news did warn of an increase being possible but it would be dependent on just what kind of damage and recovery time is needed from Ike etc...

Able to fill Diesela this AM at $4.07/gal.

Not at all what I'd consider a realistic price for kerosene, but not $5.00/gal. either...

What was $4.099 last night is $4.399 today!! RIDICULOUS!!

Nowhere in town is it less than $4.99....Governor declared a state of emergency when some pumps raised prives to $5 yesterday! But isn't that sort of like closing the barn door after the cows got out? I still don't underrstand why with barrel prices dropping we haven't seen any relief at the pump. Restaurants are reporting a 9% drop in sales, groceries are outrageous, shipping costs are out of control and still...no relief in sight.
I'm thinking we are making a mistake repairing the motor to our B to get it running...maybe we should be considering an electric or Hydrogen conversion instead...we could keep the original motor and at least have something to drive that we can afford until things "settle out"
