Wrapping up the restoration. This is going to get all chipped and scratched the first time I use the frame and canopy. I am thinking of bending up a small bit of aluminum and riveting/screwing in place to surround the holes. Anybody else done this? Got pictures or suggestions? Edit: Better yet is there some kind of a "peel and stick" that actually sticks I could use?

Use some clear 3M Scotchcal protection film around the hole. Almost invisible.
 
I used some peel and stick foam rubber attached to the removable top where it mounts onto the back light frame....mine is a Honeybourne repro.
 
I didn't think I'd be successful in preventing chips, so I just stick plugs in the holes to conceal them.Surrey hole plugs 001.jpg
