Got some more shelves last week, but only just got the time to put them in today. Pulled Baby Bertha out to ease access so got a pic of her as is. Realised its the first time she's moved in a couple years, no wonder she was so heavy!

I've always found that if I'm kinda lost in a project or simply have mispaced something, cleaning up and organizing I find whaterever is lost, including my place in the project. Hopefully, this will get you going on Baby Bertha, because now is the time to be a driving a lbc. Good luck!!!!!!

Nice shelves - I've been thinking about getting some of them from Lowe's - are they the ones? How are they for heavy stuff?

Tony, I have a bunch of wire shelves like that. The rating on the box seems conservative. I have mine heavily loaded, but be sure and attach them to the wall if there is much weight at the top to prevent tipping.

I got mine @ Costco but I bet Sam's Club has them too. I have all my heavy parts, rr axle, ft susp., gearbox on the two lower shelves and the others filled with lighter stuff It still rolls easily even after sitting in the same spot for weeks: no flatspotting of the wheels.

They are a clever design, the shelves by themselves are quite weak, but as you assemble the system it gains its strength. Huh, maybe I did learn something about stress loading in college after all...
The shelves were a freebie, the shop my mum works in is closing down soon and as they slowly clear the stock they find themselves with spare sets of shelves. With any luck they will have a closing down sale again (not the first time the owner has said he is closing down), as I get my mums staff discount on top of sale discount... ebay heaven! Last time I filled the BMW to the roof 5 times! Another sale would pay for a full resto on Baby Bertha!
