Powertune Brake Booster

Just got a Powertune booster for my 3000 BJ8, but the application seems a little bit difficult with the brackets that were supplied. Trying to find some pics to no avail; not able to fabricate new pieces.

Has anyone installed one?

Thanks all.

I installed a Powertune servo from Victoria British in my BJ8 11 years ago. Could not use the included bracket. I modified the original Girling bracket somehow to accommodate the Powertune and the final orientation was slightly downward and pointed a few degrees inward toward engine. I may have had to adjust the brake line to make it all fit. It has functioned well to date. Hope this helps.

I welded up some aluminum brackets. I'd show some photos, but apparently I'm 61MB over my photo limit.

I've been thinking about installing a brake booster on my 100. I viewed this youtube video (
) showing the installation of a PowerTune on a RHD 100 without engine, shrouds and fenders. It looks like a retrofit into an assembled car would be difficult to say the least. I'd appreciate hearing from anyone who has done this.

Other than the PowerTune booster's having a lower price than the Lockheed units are there any significant differences in performance, fitment, quality, etc?

Perhaps I should buy a rowing machine instead....
