I'm the high bidder now at 5.50! My ebay name is "totalqualitysound". Maybe I'll win 'em!

Why?

for the halibut?

Who knows maybe I'll send to someone for free. I'm weird like that sometimes. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Good enough reason! Over the years they'll probably dull quicker than painted ones (which can be redone easily!)

Sanded powdercoat holds paint nice too!

Besides that, I know more MG people from here than I know REAL people in "real life", so odds are I'll find a home for them.

Stewart, he charges $25 for powdercoating valve covers, return shipping included, and yes, he can do black.

I've got 2 valve covers. I'll powdercoat one, have John paint the other to match the engine.

He also bead blasts the piece before coating, the outfit here in STL I talked to today doesn't blast, so I'd have to have that done ahead of time and I don't want a lot of downtime between blasting and coating or painting.

$95 to JetHot my exhaust manifold, decided I'm doing the intake as well, need a price on that now, then off to Pascagoula MS!

I'll more than likely have it done to mine when I pull the front crossmember and have it blasted and powdercoated. The guy I used was pretty cheap. I'm more than likely the only one with a powdercoated battery box lid /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/smile.gif

You more than likely are Stewart!

Oh, well, I was outbid. No freebies for anyone else this week!

I have enough valve covers already! Besides, good luck matching the engine paint to a powdercoat, especially after a year or two. It's gonna be a chore to repaint those things when the time comes. Powder is good on accesories but on the engine I prefer standard paint.
