You are correct. And my broken easy out did come out very easily! However, only half of it came out and the 3/8" that remains is giving me fits.
I think that the machinists will have a way to fix it without much hassle. If not...we start over.
I think that they can use a ball end mill to take out the side of the stud, level the remainder and then come back in on center with some carbide cutters and out it will come. It will probably have a heli-coil, but who cares, as it's only a bumper stop.
What really bugs me is that I didn't do this. It was like that when I got it from ebay. Oh well, buyer beware!

Bummer Paul, my bump stop broke off as well.
A thought- When I purchased the Grade 8 trunnion bolts,
the guys also sold me a hardened drill bit so I could
make the cotter pin holes. Maybe a hardened brill bit
would help you with the extraction?
Or I'll betcha TRBill knows a few extraction tricks!

Swallowed pride, carried trailing arm into shop. Three guys look at it a give me the glare and mandatory lectures:
"Next time, don't screw it up by trying to fix it yourself! Stick to what you're good at! Bring it to us first so we can do it in 10 minutes instead of two hours! Next time that you think you're doing the right thing with a drill press, think again and bring it here first, ya-da, ya-da, ya-da."
Looks like carbide cutters or EDM hole popping to burn it out.
