For the 1960 model year (last year for that body style)
they put the 997cc,overhead valve engine from the new Anglia.
These were known as 107E's.The earlier ones were 100E's.

Flatheads are good!

Model "A" style distributor-through-the-head, some Continentals did that, too.

I like it!
 
Great little flat head (see left). Now if it just was a little closer to Oklahoma. :crazyeyes:
 
Almost the same 4 cylinder as in my 1934 Model Y Ford.

Great little cars..... IIRC they have a three-speed tranny, I have a comparison road test against a Morris Minor Traveller and a Standard Ten Estate available if anyone wanted to look into this.
