My 1963 Midget has a psitive ground wiring.
Is it possible to install a radio or other with a negative ground as long as I isolate the housing?

Yes ALKerik, isulating the housing and the antenna can be done .However, I do not advise using that approach. Converting the car from Positive to Negative ground is reasonably simple and is the preferred method to use.Fwiw---Keoke
