Positive ground or Negative ground. What have you?

+ve. Because that is what God intended. I find stereos and alternators unpleasant blemishes.

Positive.

Radio is just for the looks, engine sounds better ;-)

I believe the idea of positive earth was that it reduced electrolytic corrosion. Now Anti-freeze does a better job.

Positive. Goes with my outlook on life (except during election years).

Read somewhere that positive ground produces somewhat better ignition spark (can't confirm).

Positive, trying to stay original.

Correct at least in theory and you should reverse coil connections to solve issue.

My car came converted.

67 BJ8 conversion process started to become negative, but never finished when I bought it.

Now is pretty much completed as negative. Recently changed fuel pump having bi-polar setup and got the generator polarized properly (via regulator).

The only thing left is to convert wiring to Tach which should now be a piece of cake, given a clear diagram of how-to-do. Other electrical woes, of course, but not affecting the conversion process, or so I do believe.

PS. I do have an existing British Leyland radio I want to hook up, if it does work. If not, then out it goes and will be replaced with the 3000 logo plate.

(The more I do, the less I know!)

Okay, Tahoe. I once pulled the radio out and do not remember seeing any switch then but hopefully there is one as you indicate.

Thanks!
