If you went to the swap meet, any good finds to tell? There was a guy who had a Warwick (spelling?) top, it needed alot of work but sold for $200.00. Lot's of good bits around.

Anyone find something they were looking for? BillM was that you that picked up the NOS oil cooler?

Nope- I was only there on Saturday, couldn't stay for the swap-meet.
Which car did you have Dug? You should have found me!

Bill,
Sorry it was Pythias "I think" bought the oil cooler. I was only there on Sunday. Had to take the P38 cause it will haul more stuff from swap meets.

Yep- Lockheed Lightnings WILL carry more than a Sprite!!
I'll meet you next year-

Nope, wasn't me that picked up the oil cooler, as I won't use one.

I scored

A set of motor mounts. New ones can be junk and I figure a used old set is better than a new pair from the usual suspects.

A scissor jack. Low enough to fit under almost anything, I won't have to stick anything into the hole in the side of the car.

A different shift boot, that I'm very happy with. With the 5 speed, I took an inch out of the shifter "can", filled in the hole, moved the hole forward as far as possible and have been using the boot from a big healey. It's too stiff and keeps popping out of the hole. The new one is much more pliable, doesn't pop out, and seals just as well.

It was all I could do not to buy the steel blue MK IV Sprite with the supercharger. $6000. If I had a place to park it, it would be in Kelso right now.

Ran into Larry Miller, owner of Bugzuki, and the one whose picture of a cross flow head installation is on ebay (without permission) I hadn't seen him since LOtO, so it was nice to catch up a little.

This was my first Portland ABFM, It seems like there were a lot more cars there than the Bellevue ABFM.
I had a great time, looked at a lot of cars, talked to owners.
The races were fun too. When we were leaving there were some big Healeys, a VW bug, an old Volvo 544 and a Peugeot going at it.
I took a few pictures with my cell phone.

White Sprite with a Boxer.
