Thanks for reminding us just how ugly the Morgan Aero 8 is / was. Did it actually drive on the the field under its own power?

Picture 4 - red w/ black wings - austin 7...? My knowledge of pre-50's stuff is exceptionally poor.

I want that Cortina!!!

NOW!!!!

It was great seeing you there Don. I saw Dougies car in the pits. I got first in class in the Giant Slalom and my son Adam was second.

Riley, very pretty

More great car show pictures, keep them coming everybody. I'll take the Porsche 908.

You don't see this at every corner. The owner assured me that it's the real McCoy. It wasn't raced that weekend as it's too valuable. It was for sale, but I didn't dare ask...

He's been there a couple of times I think. I know I have seen the car.

Interesting, didn't see him last year.
Anyhow, got a question: What is this car in the photo? It looks similar in concept to Bill Babcock's Peyote (who was also there). Is this also based on a Triumph chassis/engine? I didn't have time to seek out the car in the pits.

Well, now that I see the exhaust exiting on the driver's side, probably not a Triumph.

With a BMW V8 under the hood you bet...

As installed by the Morgan factory, not such a good bet. At one point the factory recalled ALL Aero 8's (freight costs not covered in the recall) I can't speak for the euro market, but I don't think a single Aero delivered to the US ran without some serious diagnostic work -- to the best of my knowledge many (most?) still aren't road-worthy. Perhaps they got better over the last couple of years, but I seriously doubt it.

I would hope that the troubles are limited to the US market - but I'm not holding my breath on the factory's ability to produce an integrated drive system on the upcoming EVA hybrid.

I believe that's a Mallock (sp).
