I would say that would never be a problem, even a stationary 4 post on a 4" slab shouldnt be a problem. But when you have a 2 post with a heavy engine side and a light rear side they tend to want to pull forward, hence the be safe and have a footing for it. Especially if you working under it. Again though a midget is more like a go cart. Very light on its feet. I'd never walk under a 2 post lift with a van in it that has no footings.
I like the roll around deal tho!
