Poppin' da top on a new campin' season!

Hoo rah! doo dah! and all that.. Camping season is coming soon to the frozen north, and I'm not lettin' it go by again. Fell into a lucky purchase today of a 1982 Viking Pop-up camper. Ready to go with a little airing out, and dirt cheap! PO just bought a new camper, and the well loved little popper had to go.
My Dot is beside herself. At 7 years old I probably don't have too many more years of being "cool", So I plan on getting some quality time in. I'm gonna strap the canoe and the bikes to the top and go visit some of the splendid little campsites that dot the fingerlakes region.
Probably means that the poor TR will languish for a while, but I think it can wait for me. More important things are asking for my attention.
So here's to summertime, Coolers full of picnic food, dirty feet, Lightning bugs in a jar with holes in the lid, campfires, music, swimming, hunting for fossil rocks, Biking, hiking, and watching for shooting stars.
It's gonna be a busy summer.

You have that exactly right!

My kids (now in their 30s), still talk about all the simple, fun things we did when they were little.
My older daughter wants to bring my new grand-daughter up to our Summer house so that she can learn about walking in the stream, hunting for frogs, throwing stones in ~The Lake~ , catching Sunnies and all the other stuff that my kids did when they were little.

And they do grow up fast! (Good Score with the pop-up!)
