In the 10 years he spent building that, he never once gave any thought to how he was going to get it out?
How did he paint it without stinking up the whole house?

Looks good though.
Local legend here is the guy that had the crane lower his pristine 65 vette into his new basement before they built the new house over it. Perminant fixture in his rec room I guess.

My race-Spridget resides in my basement (but I built an exit *first*) :laugh:
Many years ago, in Kitplane magazine, there was a series of articles by a young Pietenpol builder. He and his wife built the thing in a small, second story apartment in the Newark (NJ) area. The fuselage went from the left front corner of the living room across to the fridge in the kitchen. There was a picture of them hoisting the finished fuselage out the window and down to the ground.
I've seen this plane, and it looks great!
By the way, it's powered by a 1600 Ford Kent engine (rather than the more common Ford Model A engine)
I don't have a picture of that one, but here (below) is my friend Walt's Pietenpol, built just down the street from me, in his 5 foot tall crawlspace under his house. Walt's over 6 feet tall so he was always sore when building it.
