Whatever you do, don’t settle for the base model. Hold out for the turbo. It’s a blast.

PC.

Not only will you get more horsepower from the 2.0L turbo, but you'll ALSO get better fuel mileage. I think the Redline/GPX is rated for >32MPG highway while the base line engine (2.4L) is <30MPG highway. If I could afford either one, I think I'd go for the Saturn Sky Redline.

I waited and waited for the Redline, when my dealer got one I went down the next day and was so sure of getting one that I had a friend drive me to the dealer and drop me off. Then I had to call a cab to get home /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/frown.gif

The car is nice, that is all I can say about it, its nice. There is NO trunk and I mean NO TRUNK. It had some squeaks/rattles that I would not have expected on a new car, indicating to me it would be worse a few years from now. Putting the top up/down was a major pain. Power was nice, I really liked that. Handling was not much better than my wifes SUV, super disappointing.

I feel better now /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif Honda S2000 is parked next to my Dino /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/smile.gif The S2000 is not as fast as the Sky Redline, but it has a trunk for when the wife and I go out of town and I am the kind of guy who does not care about speed on the straightaways, although it was nice in the Sky, I am the kind of guy who cares how fast I can go around the corners and the Sky was disappointing, the S2000 is not!
