Another great marque, gone with the (economic) wind. 84 years, quite a run.

Our neighbor had a beautiful Chieftan with the lighted hood ornament, I'll never forget it. The stylish and powerful Bonnevilles with the "wide track" stance! A friend of mine had a brand new '66 GTO, then a '68. Very fast cars, built for speed. Tough and dependable, even though we ran the heck out of her.

Oldsmobile, Plymouth and now, Pontiac. And it appears that Mercury isn't too far behind for the choppin' block.

To an old car guy like me, those cars carried a lot of memories in them and darn near all of them good ones. :yesnod:
 
And lift a glass to Studebaker, DeSoto, Packard, Deusenburg and the others lost to time. Who knows what the future holds...
