I've gotten to where I'm listening more to podcasts than to anything else. Good way to have something playing in the background and learn something new while I row, or do work around the house, or whatever.
What podcasts (if any) do you listen to?
Some of my favorites:
Waking Up with Sam Harris
Mindscape with astrophysicist Sean Carroll
The Minimalists Podcast
Rich Roll podcast

I've liked the RadioLab podcasts. Fascinating.

I like the TED Talks.

Anyone read Craig Venter? His TED presentation?

I listen to lot of photography related podcasts.

Bas, what would you suggest for a beginner in digital photography? Wife has a D600, upgraded from a Nikon film SLR a couple of years ago. She's wanting to get better at her photography in both technique and using the technology to it's best.

I'm a Canon shooter myself, but the D600 is a darn capable Full Frame camera. If I was going to give one piece of advice on improving one's photography it would be to join www.kelbyone.com It's a paid forum but once you are a member you have access to literally hundreds (maybe thousand, I've not counted) of very high-quality tutorials! You can take classes online randomly or follow "Tracks" - a series of classes that all relate to a particular overall topic. Here's a screen shot of some of the "Tracks". For example, you can follow a track on Camera Fundamentals with 13 courses comprised of 152 video lessons. All the lessons in these courses are taught my world-renowned professionals.

Thanks Basil. I forwarded her the link so she can look at it. She's got about another month before school starts back, so this might be a perfect site for her to spend some time.
