A good friend of mine, and member both here and at MGBE, needs some help from her MG family. I won't go into a lot of details, you can click the link and read the thread.

Basically, what we will need is some people to step up and join the "Pony Express" to get their vehicle home from Denver to Virginia. Her health isn't the best and her husband has just had rotator cuff surgery, so flying there and driving back isn't an option. There are several people who have already stepped up, but it's a very long distance - particularly from Denver to Kansas City.

Please take a moment, look at the thread. And if you're geographically able and physically willing to help out another MG person, quite possibly one of the best I know, please do so.

Hugs and thanks in advance.

Sorry Janel

I am not in route, but would have liked to have helped.

Prayers

Let me know if I can fill in somewhere...

If Naomi & Bill decide on the "Pony Express," we'll need some coverage between Denver and KC (IF Sarah and Rob aren't out there at that time) Tony is going to be in KC from Feb 2-15. If we can get the truck to KC while Tony is there, he will take it back to Alabama. Then we'd need to cover the route from Tony's in AL to VA.

This has got to be the ultimate in LBC community networking. Wish I was in-line with the delivery route.

Is there anyone in the Denver area who can just get it out of impound and keep it in their side yard until all of the stars line-up? May be an easy way to get this to work?
Bill

~nods~

They won't release the truck to anyone except the registered owner. I was afraid of that. They 'may' allow it to be picked up by a designated person, with copy of Bill's insurance, driver's license, title and registration.

I'm pretty sure we have a person to pick it up from the impound right in Denver! Getting it out of impound is a priority, because those costs rack up quickly.

This is more than LBC networking Kenny. This is LBC FAMILY. Exactly what it's all about - beyond marques.

It's nice to hear about the good things -
-people helping & trusting each other).
I would drive it all thge way for them,if I
had the time & money.
Please let me know if I can help (send PM).

- Doug

if I happen to be anywhere near the planned route count me in. Id almost bet Tony and I could drive it from his place to Virginia

The LBC network AT work!!! I love it. If I were en-route it would be an honour to chip in!

jaybird, if for any reason the "express" requires a northen route and ends up in the new york-new jersey metro area ill take it into v.a. id do it beacause these folks appear to be worthy people and im a sucker for noble causes. someone godda rep. the healey family as well.

jaybird, ok maybe the northen route aint gunna happen, but i got a quick $50.00 to help in the gas expenses, just tell me to whom i can send the check/cash. lets get er done guys.

Thanks you guys!!! You're the best. There was no doubt that my MG family would come through for Naomi. I thought we had it worked out that my dot and her boyfriend could do the run from Denver to KC, then Tony run from KC to Alabama. But Sarah & Rob aren't going skiing until end of Feb., Tony is there only until the 15th.

Right now, the CO police are not releasing the vehicle. Ya'll can check the goings on with the link above or the 'Pony Express' link. At a bit of a standstill now until the vehicle's released.

I feel let out! Could we start this from the left coast? Maybe we could send a small package to start from the furthest member, and follow the tract? Sort of like a stand up Bob that my daughter did in grade school? Just a thought.
Cheers, David.
Best of luck, Janel.
