I posted this over in the pub and was told this might be from TR3. If it is what years does it cover?
Thanks

I know everyone over in the pub said it was from a TR3, and it sure looks like it came from a TR3. But....

Every TR3 non-adjustable wheel that I have seen has FOUR wires from the hub to the outer part of the wheel on all three sets of spokes. The one you are showing has only three wires on the bottom set. That doesn't mean it's not from a TR3, but the three wires on the bottom make me think it may not be a TR3 wheel.

Good eye, Art!

I was one of the guilty parties in the Pub who said TR3, but I never noticed the three spokes. I was a mite too quick with my answer.

Hmm. I would have guessed TR3 as well, but you're right about the spokes!
I just skimmed through my Wholesalers edition of the Moss catalog that has all the cars Moss supports in it, and nothing matches that wheel. It's not from one of the usual suspects.

Wow. I figured of all places this would be know by the forum members. Real stumper hmm. I was told it was to a British car.

I'm kind of a tactile guy, I like the feel of things. First thing I noticed was the 3 spokes on the bottom. Not like mine...

Hi There vping;

I believe that "BOXoROCKS" is Correct: It just "May Be" from a Healey; But which Model Healey, 100 Series / 3000 Series / Spridgets?? I just went thru My TR3 & TR4 Restoration Guides and Its Definitely "NOT" a TR4 Wheel & All Photos on the TR3`s show "4 Spokes":

Have You Posted your Pic on the Healey Forum? If not; Probably a Good Idea!!

I`m still going to search (Ebay Healeys For Sale)cause I`m just Curious & I believe You may find an answer there by just looking at some of the Cars For Sale!!

Have Fun & Good Luck;

Regards, Russ

Hi There Vince;

Well; I visited Ebay / Healey Section / Went from Mid 50`s - 100-4s to Mid 60`s - 3000 BJ8s to Spridgets; It`s None of these! Then I went to the MG Section - "T" Series / TC; TD or TF, Not one these either; Maybe a "MG-P" Series but there is`nt one on Ebay: I did come across a "Triumph Saloon" of somesort, Mid 30s Vintage; Close but No Cigar:

I believe what you may have here is something from the Mid 30s - 40s Vintage in a Saloon Class?? Triumph, MG, Bentley, Rolls Royce (Not a RR, I looked) but You get the Idea: Simply go "Window Shopping"!!!!!!

Why not put It up "For Sale" on Ebay with a Reserve (Reserve to be $500.00 or more) and Have the Whole World bid on it and Try and Let them try and figure out what It belongs to? It would be Interesting!!

Its worth the Old College Try: I`m still looking just out of Curiosity:

Have Fun & Let us know If you do decide to put it on Ebay:

Regards, Russ /bcforum/images/%%GRAEMLIN_URL%%/confused.gif

I wanted to put it on ebay to sell it but wanted to know what it was first. Ebay charges you a bundle if you put a reserve number on it don't they?

I googled it and it looks a lot like the TR3 wheel but the center hub is different.

It has been listed on the Healey forum but no real answers yet.

Hmm stupid me. I just noticed it is four horizontal spokes & 3 vertical. duh

The reserve cost isn't "a bundle" but will ad a buck or 3 to the selling cost.

Hi Vince;

Roofman is Right: There is only an additional charge of about $2 - $3.00 to set a Reserve Price:

If your just "Fishing"; I believe its a good idea: Should your Reserve be met (GREAT); If not, Who Cares, You still have the Steering Wheel and can Keep looking to see where she fits & or Re-Sell @ somepoint:

I`m going to be seeing My Brit Guru Mech this Sat. & See what he may know relative to your Wheel??

See Ya Then;

Russ

Nope Russ, not from any big Healey, Don't know about the little fellas.---Keoke

It certainly has the style of an early Triumph wheel. Been searching to see what a Triumph Roadster 2000 wheel looks like but can't find one.
