Steve, we don't have to tell her anything, She just KNOWS!!
I don't understand how they do it, but they do!
Burn the pictures,
Jeff

hahahahahaha.

Nice fit. That rubber moulding would have had my name all over it if there was anything left to it.

My luck would have been... to have to slam on the brakes at some point and have those head studs rip through the truncklid as the block rolled over.

I transported an 1800 block to the machine shop in my 300ZX once...

What she doesn't know can't hurt her.

Besides you cold just say you borrowed her car... and not bother her will all the details, on the "don't sweat the small stuff" principle.... /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/devilgrin.gif /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/jester.gif

It was really tough getting that thing in there. I started to lose faith that it would go in without further disassembly. When we took it out again it leaked about a quart of oil all over the ground. Thank god it didn't end up in the car!

Hey Steve,
If you need to do that again, let me know. I have a pickup truck or tools to build a dog house. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/yesnod.gif

You're a brave man, Steve. I may have to transport a 1275 soon, but I'll be stuffing it in the back of my Hyundai, and leaving my wife's SUV alone. I guess I'm just a wimp that way. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

Greg, thanks for the offer! I had a truck available through a friend but I was driving a couple hundred miles so I didn't want to ask so much of anyone.

What are you doing with it?

had to transport 2.5 six block the same way using caviler sri. guy had crane to put into boot, had to physically lift at home, put strap round shoulders, tied to block. funny thing was that i had on jeans that were too lose, i tried to lower engine about a foot and a half, trousers slipped couple of inches, could'nt bend legs anymore! had to call deb, who came behind me and pulled trousers up! /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/ooo.gif

Nice one...I used to refer to the Camaro as my truck sicne I could haul anything in that car(with the rear seat down and the hatch opened it's kinda like a big pickup bed)Once it went into storage and I was "truckless" for a year it was kinda though, once you've owned one it's kinda hard to live without a truck.

I'm speechless. You couldn't find an engine builder within a couple hundred miles of LA ? /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/confused.gif
Oh, happy holidays /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif

I could find a builder, but the one who specializes in what I'm doing is a bit of a drive.

I drove trucks for many years, but I rarely miss them now. Of course I missed it this day. Actually I missed it the day before when that axle was covered in grime.

I just did the same thing....(MGA 1622)

300 miles one way to Baltimore Md. from my house. (in a Corolla)

Can't say it handled very well on the way back. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/grin.gif
