Question: any body here have any success with platinum plugs and comletely stock ignition?
I tried them decades ago, and deemed them inappropriate (for my own Healey anyway), but this MKIII I drove today had them fitted, along with a "high speed cutout", and I'm wondering if the ignition isn't strong enough to jump the gap consistantly at high RPMs.
I didn't have time to try a set of NGK BP6ES (my plug of choice) today, nor did I want to "dirty up" a new set that I keep around. If I can find the last set I took out of my own car, I'll try just a plug swap, keeping all other settings the same.
Thanks!
