Hello, Anyone fam'l with the quality and fit of Plasticfab front fenders for the B? They were in California. Do not know if they are still around. Found a pair, unused, may buy. Thanks Dennis P.
Din't know Plasticfab... I got some fenders for a Volks from "Fiberfab" in CA. Fiberfab makes kit cars and VW cnversions like "RR" hoods and body wings etc.
Roly had a set there when I was down...we talked last week & he's in process of pulling molds..when glass guy gets back from vacation, he's gonna start pulling them & figure the selling prices...
I have fiberglass front fenders on my 76B. They were on there when I got it, so don't know who the manufacturer was. I don't remember seeing any tags or stamps when they were off, but that was 17 years ago! The front door gap fittup is marginal, the hood gap is actually pretty good. They are wavy, and need working with filler & block sand to true up. I now wish I would have entirely block sanded them like I did on the rear quarters!.
Drives wonderful though, did an 80 mile run in 76deg sunny temps today!
Pete H.
I'm putting a glass front end on my sebring conversion and I spent 2 weeks on one fender and I'm still not completly satisfied, but will shoot some fill primer and stick it out once it's on the car
