Plasma cutter

Went with a female friend yesterday to get a truck that she had bought from an older lady whose husband had left her for a younger gal....real dogs...both the ex. and the new woman. Anyhow, while we were gathering parts, airing tires etc. the lady asked me if I knew what a plasma cutter was. I said sure and she says give her $100 and I'd own one. Its small but nearly new..has the cart and all. I won't say I was excited but the pocket holding my wallet needs to be sewn back on:smile:

Blew out, checked everything over and gave it a whirl. Took an old banged up beetle fender and cut away....worked flawlessly. I actually feel guilty about the price so tomorrow I'm going to call the lady and tell her it was sold a bit cheap. Wife agrees so I'm going to give her at least another hundred dollars.

Nice to know that we still have people like you out there Jack. Your rewards will be many, if only in the heart.

:iagree:
It's nice to know there are still those who will correct the occasional cashier who accidentally gives back too much change. And not just stop at small change, but do the right thing even if it means waiting an extra couple weeks before buying that much needed <<insert appropriate LBC part here>>. Thanks, Jack, for helping to restore my faith in humanity.

....done that twice this year, alone...
Lowe's...

WONDERFULL!!!!!!!!
WONDERFUL!!!!!!!!!!
Like the girls baseball game where a player hit a home run and blew her knee at first. Her team could not help her to finish. The other team carried her to home base. That turned out to be the winning run but they were all winners.

I wouldn't feel guilty about the price the lady sold it to you for, she knew she was giving it away, she did so I'm sure out of revenge to her sleezbag husband, if it were me, I head back over there and see if she has any other deals  Can you imagine the husband's reaction when she tells him what she sold the plasma cutter for, that's better medicine to her than an extra 100 bucks could ever be, just consider it a reward to you, for not being a sleezbag

I agree with Hap! Allow the poor woman to exact her revenge on the heel who abandoned her!!! I had a friend a few years ago who fell into a similar situation which involved a car. The ex-wife kept referring to it as a Mazer so he thought she meant Mazda. They closed the deal, he went to where the car was stored and discovered he had bought a Masarati biturbo dirt cheap!!!
