[but a pretty well done one until you start to think about it]

Some day in the distant future, in a galaxy far far away, a major question will be "how could life exist, without the ability to digitally alter reality?"

Had not seen it before. These hoaxes are pretty well done.

Here is a NON-hoax. That DHL jet that was hit by a missile over Baghdad and landed with no control surfaces working (back in 2003):

Here's one that so far hasn't been ... enhanced. Prop blade flew off and right into the cabin. Just happened:

"Thank you for flying with us. We hope you'll consider us next time you plan a trip!"

(This came a hair's breadth from being a *real* disaster.)

Whoa! That'll teach that person to put their tray-table up and in a secured position. :wink-new: Yikes!!!

That's been around a while. Yes, well done for a hoax.

You beat me to it.... that's the first thing I thought of. Yes, it has made the internet rounds for a long time.

I guess it's a good thing that the internet did not exist when Orson Welles did his infamous "War of the Worlds"; the ultimate hoax.

Or, perhaps the panic would have been even more widespread.

You do realize that there were two planes! A real one and an exact duplicate model. The very last shot as the aircraft is shutting down, is the real one. Notice you don't see the right wing because of the camera angle. Up to that point was the model. I thought it was extremely well done. Had a lot of people believing it. :encouragement: PJ

Yes, I think the video fully captures that (especially with the still-frames).
