Will the standard piston rings for a MGC fit the standard piston for my BJ7? I purchased a set of MGC rings some time ago because I was told that they would fit my BJ7 engine. My machine shop informed me that they would not fit. What gives??

I would not expect the rings to fit. They are completely different engines. 7 mains vs 5 also.

What gives??-------- Give the rings back to whom ever you ordered them from and get the correct parts for your car. The "MGC" and the Healey have a lot of parts in common but I suspect piston rings are not included. /ubbthreads/images/graemlins/nonod.gif-FWIW---Keoke
